Terms of use
The terms for using the CodeMorph beta and this website.
Last updated 11 octobre 2026
Beta draft, pending legal review. This document describes how CodeMorph works today in plain language. It will be reviewed by counsel before general availability. This page is available in English only. The English version is the one that applies.
These terms govern your use of the CodeMorph desktop application ("the app") and this website. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
Definitions
- "CodeMorph", "we", "us" means the company that makes the CodeMorph app and operates this website.
- "The app" means the CodeMorph desktop application and any updates to it.
- "The website" means this site and its pages, forms and downloads.
- "Your content" means your source code, files, instructions and anything else you work on or provide while using the app.
- "Model provider" means a third-party AI service you connect to the app, such as Anthropic.
Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract to use the app, and at least 16 years old. If you use CodeMorph on behalf of an organization, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organization.
The beta
CodeMorph is beta software. Features may change, be incomplete or be removed, and the app may contain bugs. Use it on code that is under version control, and review changes before you rely on them.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install and use the app for any lawful purpose, including commercial work, during the beta.
The app includes open-source components under their own licenses. Those licenses are included with the app and are not limited by these terms.
Our software and open-source components
CodeMorph's own branding, patches, migration engine and website are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the license above, these terms don't grant you any rights to them.
Open-source components included in the app remain under their own licenses. Where an open-source license gives you broader rights than these terms, that license applies to that component.
Your code and content
You keep all rights to your code. CodeMorph doesn't receive your code, and these terms don't give us any rights to it. Output the app produces for you, such as converted files, is yours.
Accounts
The app doesn't require a CodeMorph account during the beta. If we introduce accounts or paid plans, you'll be responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.
Third-party services
If you configure a model provider such as Anthropic, or use extensions from Open VSX, your use of those services is governed by their terms. You're responsible for your API keys and any charges your provider bills. See Model provider terms for how providers fit into CodeMorph, and make sure you have the right to send any code you share with a provider.
Acceptable use
Your use of CodeMorph must follow our acceptable use policy. In short: don't use the app or this website to break the law, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, or interfere with the website's operation, and don't misrepresent modified builds as official CodeMorph releases.
Pricing
The beta is free. If we introduce paid plans, we'll publish their terms before charging anyone, and you'll choose whether to subscribe.
Updates
We may release updates that add, change or remove features. During the beta the app doesn't update itself; new versions are published on the download page and announced in the changelog.
Feedback
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve CodeMorph without obligation to you.
No warranty
The app and website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be error-free, or that its output, including migrated code, will be correct or fit for your purposes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeMorph will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the app or website. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold CodeMorph harmless from claims arising from your content, your use of a model provider, or your breach of these terms.
Export and sanctions
You may not use or export the app in violation of applicable export control or sanctions laws.
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end these terms if you breach them. Sections on your code, no warranty and limitation of liability survive termination.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and note it in the changelog. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
General
- Entire agreement. These terms, together with the policies they link to, are the whole agreement between you and CodeMorph about the app and website.
- Severability. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. Not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You can't transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
